Eastern Railroad Discussion > A Maine weekend - Part 2: WW&FDate: 10/20/14 17:26 A Maine weekend - Part 2: WW&F Author: njmidland Part 1 of our weekend of Maine railroading was on the Belfast & Moosehead Lake. On Sunday we chartered the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway's Ford Model T inspection car to ride their entire line. We were able to ride over the new track installed a week earlier. We were the first people to ride on this part of the right of way since 1933!
Photo 1: The car has just emerged from the WW&F's shop. Photo 2: The end of the line. The track to the left is the mainline. The track on the right is the tail track where Wiscasset bound trains would place cars when doubling the hill. Photo 3: Turning the car and then lowering at back on the track off of its "turntable".
