More from my Cresson trip
Author: RNinRVR

Here are a few taken at Lilly, PA, Carney's Crossing Rd. and back at the pump house in Cresson.

1. D9-44CW 9594 leads intermodal 20R around the curve from the 254 signal bridge past Lilly.

2. The second unit this oil train was SOO 6027 and SD60. Little worse for wear but those colours still look good.

3. Steel slab train 60Z comes west by Lilly with D9-44CW 9362 leading a second dash 9.

4. The Monongahela unit ES44AC 8025 leans into the curve leading manifest 17G.

5. Manifest 10A comes by with SD60I 6731 leading a big lash up of all EMD units.

6. Something I noticed on a number of trains was a D9-40C paired with a D9-44CW, and it times the standard cab was leading.

Moving slightly east to Carney's Crossing Rd. we see:

7. Auto rack I8M coming around the curve from Lilly with another of the always present D9-44CWs leading.

8. Intermodal 24W comes by with SD60I 6750 leading.

9. Manifest 12G slogs upgrade with a helper set of SD40E 6303 and 6326 leading the road power. The helpers make the mountain fluid.

11. Intermodal 20E comes up hill with ES44AC 8123 leading a dash 8 and 70M-2.

Moved back to the pump house in Cresson.

12. An auto rack train heads west with UP SD70ACe 8805 trailing.

Was a real good trip with lots of trains shot and the weather wasn't too bad either.
