And this year will probably mark its last trip across Tunkhannock Viaduct.

Not to be a party pooper but will the dreaded CP Ogre squash the program this year?

Remember the deahdead southbound move, typically the day before.

That's often the best chasing day. No crowds, and more daylight since the train doesn't wait until noon to strat moving. (Plus, in recent years there's been a tendency for the deadhead movement to take place in light snow, looks great withthe lights on).

The deadhead south to Scranton will be during the day Thanksgiving Day, for me not a problem to catch, hopefully others can too and the crowds aren't diminished because of the holiday.

Shoud be coming through here (near Delanson NY, MP 503) just about the time my wife wants to throw everybody out of the house, so herding 2 railfan boys and their dad into a car should be a win-win for everybody.

Might not be a problem for you Sam, as you live nearby... But I can't see how doing this on Thanksgiving benefits anyone....especially when not everyone lives near Scranton. I would expect the crowds to be diminished..when they announced this at the Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley meeting last month, there were noticeable groans from those present.
