Memorial Weekend Pics

These were taken at Wharncliffe, WV. Wharncliffe is apx 31 rail miles east of Williamson, WV. This is the point of where the Gilbert Branch enters onto the Pocahontas Division main. As always comments and suggestions welcomed.

Picture #1 MOW track equipment parked up for the holiday weekend. The morning fog is starting to lift.

Picture #2 NS D944-CW 9924 leads an empty westbound coal train with a UP SD70M.

Picture #3 NS D944-CW 9755 and a NS SD60M rolls a manifest train eastbound

Love the multiple booms down "to lock down" equipment...inner city Detroit may be rough, but equipment is much harder to keep in one piece in this part of the world.
