Eastern Railroad Discussion > Sun Before the Rain and New Power for the Perk TodayDate: 10/29/14 17:06 Sun Before the Rain and New Power for the Perk Today Author: RDG630 Weather forecast for pm rain today in eastern PA, which did happen, but before that I managed a few sunny photos of a sunny paint scheme. ESPN GP18 #1804 (former Susie Q power) made its first revenue run on the Perkiomen Branch today. The real bonus was some excellent fall foliage. The train came north from East Greenville with GP10 #7554 leading. Three photos at the run around track in Emmaus, Pa.

Finally passing the old creamery at Palm The rain started soon after I headed home. Date: 10/29/14 20:13 Re: Sun Before the Rain and New Power for the Perk Toda Author: Gonut1 Dale, Just love all the Perkiomen Branch shots! I went to Dillingersville to find the tunnel back around 1964. I made pencil sketches since posted on-line somewhere? The sun was dropping and my 1952 Ford Crestline convertible was dying from bad generator brushes. I made it home but the battery (Wow! 6 volts)was shot and the lights barely glowing when got there. Ah! What some people term the "Good Old Days". Maybe not tha good?
