We are past peak fall color in Northern Indiana but there are still individual areas of color. Here are ten fall color shots from October around my area:

EB NS train 332 between Kendallville and Corunna, IN on the NS Chicago line with a pair of winged UP EMDs: 4812 & 4395 passing a reddening tree on 10/23.

Westbound CSX train E951 at Taylor Road in Garrett, IN departing after a crew change and watching several east/west moves with a pair of BNSF SD70ACe's on 10/23.

CSX Toledo, OH - Garrett, IN train Q509-22 with the lone 951 backing up from 3 track to 1 track at Auburn Junction on 10/24 on the CSX Garrett Sub.

Eastbound CSX oil train K042-24 west of Avilla, IN at Noble CR 100N with CREX 1408 and BNSF 1031 on October 25th on the CSX Chicago line.

Westbound CSX mixed freight Q369-24 in Albion, IN on the CSX Chicago line with CEFX 2814 & BNSF 4886 and a little fall color (more on the engines) on 10/25.

Westbound NS coal train, 606, west of Butler, IN on the NS Chicago line with NS 1009 and SF 681 on 10/25.

CSX Garrett - SDI local, J716-26, backing into the SDI facility south of Butler, IN with 2521 & 1523 at 1020 on October 26th.

Eastbound NS mixed freight train, 38E, with UP 7935 & 8637 west of Butler, IN at CR 59 on the NS Chicago line on 10/26.

Westbound CSX empty ethano train, K428-21, with CSX EMDs 8628 & 8239 at West Garrett, In on 10/26.

Eastbound BN western coal train running on CSX as N791 to Detroit Edison on October 27 west of Auburn, IN with BNSF' 8589 & 6070 on the CSX Garrett Sub.
