Eastern Railroad Discussion > INRD/DRGW/MGA in ChicagolandDate: 10/31/14 20:33 INRD/DRGW/MGA in Chicagoland Author: Mastadon Friday 10/31 was another interesting day in the Chicago area. First up was an early morning departure of a run-through Indiana Railroad coke empty heading to Roseport, Minnesota behind two INRD SD9043MACs, the trailer being the 9025, the 25th Anniversary motor. Shortly after that, the UP's Rio Grande heritage SD70ACe rolled west on the CP Elgin Subdivision with an unknown train for Bensenville. And a little later, Norfolk Southern's Monongahela heritage ES44AC was nabbed with an eastbound oil train on the BNSF. The weather was cold and a few snow flurries were seen, but that's Chicago.
1-CP train 801 rolls north on UP's Milwaukee Subdivision at Howard Avenue in Des Plaines behind Indiana 9007/9025 headed for Roseport for a coke load. 2-UP 1989 meets a Canadian Pacific yard move in Franklin Park on the east end of Bensenville Yard. 3-NS 8025 rolls BNSF U-ELUNSW0-03T eastbound on the Chicago Subdivision in Hinsdale under cloud cover.
