Indiana Boxcar, the portion of the old Indiana Hi-Rail Corp that R Powell Felix owns/controls, only has 3 properties at current time - The Youngstown & Southeastern running from Lowellville OH to Darlington PA, the Vermillion Valley Railroad running from Danville IL to Olin IN, and the Chesapeake and Indiana, running from Wellsboro IN to Lacrosse IN, and from Lacrosse to Malden IN and Lacrosse to N Judson IN. As far as I know, they have nothing to do with Ohi-Rail.

Ohi-Rail is either owned by, partially owned by, or otherwise affiliated with Frontier Rail. Counting Ohi-Rail, Frontier has 8 railroads and a number of plant switching and storage location under their banner. Their other 7 roads are Cincinnati Eastern Terminal running from Clare (Cincinnati) OH to Williamsburg OH (ex NS Peavine), West Isle Railroad in Alpauch CA, Lake Railway running from Perez CA to Lakeview OR, Kenewick Terminal Railroad in Kennewick WA, Oregon Rail Connect in Broadman OR, Yakima Central running from Topinish WA to White Swan WA, and Western Washington Railroad running from Chehalis WA to Maytown WA

Indiana Boxcar was the contract operator of Ohi-Rail, but then it went to Frontier Rail, and now they've taken it in house, although I think Frontier still does some management services.

Connersville & New Castle still around, run by Spencer Wendelin. He also runs Wabash Central and Big Four Terminal Railway, and previously had the Maumee and Western. The original Indiana Hi-Rail line from Connersville IN to New Castle IN became the Connersville & New Castle after the end of Hi-Rail. It has since be split into two separate lines - the ex NKP portion leased from Norfolk Southern from New Castle to Beasons IN remains the Connersville and New Castle, with the former NYC portion that they own from Beasons to Connersville is now the Big Four Terminal Railway. CNUR and BFT operate with same power, same crew, only separate operations on paper for whatever reason.

CNUR has one customer in New Castle - a foundry sand transload located in a scrap yard. They receive car loads of sand from NS in New Castle and keep a locomotive at the scrap yard for this service. The Big Four Terminal has one customer - a transload facility just north of the Connersville airport that unloads wind generating supplies (blades, towers, hubs, etc.)for various wind farm projects in east central Indiana. They also store cars along the line, as well as rebuild and broker locomotives out of the shop in Connersville. VERY LITTLE runs between New Castle and Connersville - usually nothing more than a light engine move or the odd stored car moving in or out.

Picture 1 below shows the CNUR/BFT power parked on the BFT main at Beasons, with a wind mill train in background,
Pictures 2 and 3 are shot from the entrance of the airport of one of the first wind mill trains this spring. All indications are these trains will continue to run for 2 or 3 more years.
