Eastern Railroad Discussion > High and Wide on Black River and Western. Three BridgeDate: 11/23/14 05:47 High and Wide on Black River and Western. Three Bridge Author: birdman When I arrived at Three Bridges, NJ yesterday to wait for the Erie unit to show, I stumbled upon an interesting operation on the Black River and Western. NS had delivered a high and wide transformer load to the Black River and Western. A rigging company had just finished transferring the load from a depressed center car to a highway trailer and the Black River and Western pup was doing the shifting.
1. The load on the truck. Black River and Western shifter in the background. 2. The empty rail car and loaded trailer 3. BR+W shifter pulls the empty rail car away from the transfer location. What an awesome series, especially enjoy the last (of the Mack). Date: 11/24/14 04:22 Re: High and Wide on Black River and Western. Three Br Author: Lackawanna484 There are a pair of large power substations located within a few miles of this transfer. The on on US 202 had been undergoing an expansion.
Might be headed there. |
