FEC locomotive update at Erie...
Author: Forever-Railfan-45

Reported to me early this am that there are now eight painted FEC locomotives on the CSX interchange track ready for pick up; will try and reconfirm sometime later today.

Any guesses how long it will take to get these units accepted and in action on the FEC?

Sounds like the end times may be on the SD40-s and SD70 units...

It's a shame, given all the color schemes currently in use.

Nah, getting rid of the UP paint scheme and the Alaska paint scheme will do the image of the railroad a lot of good. It was looking like it was running with hand me downs from Larry's for a while there.

If you live there, you've seen all the "variety" anyway. If you don't, why would you want to travel to see modified UP colors or CITX lease units? They're practically everywhere as it is. As I remarked in another thread, what's rare these days is a regional railroad that isn't, in the words of the immortal Jim Gilley, "a mixed-up mess". Bring on the matched consists!
