Eastern Railroad Discussion > RDG GP40-2 and FP7 Royersford, Pa TodayDate: 11/25/14 15:03 RDG GP40-2 and FP7 Royersford, Pa Today Author: RDG630 Went to Royersford, Pa in a futile attempt to photograph the NS CNJ Heritage unit which never showed up, but I did manage to photograph former Reading Company power while waiting.
First, NS local H49 had NS 3001, former Reading #3674, on the point westbound by the ex-Reading passenger station (note the drip strip on the cab). Then I discovered a mural commemorating the industrial heritage of the town which included a purple RDG FP7 with a 200 number (RDG FP7's were numbered 900-907). Odd, whoever knew what a Reading engine livery looked like yet not the color. 'least the sky is blue and the grass is green. And, bonus point for even choosing a Reading engine in former Reading territory. /Mitch |
