UP 1996 Dashing through the snow

This mornings CSX Q372 bound for Selkirk NY was led by the UP 1996, the Southern Pacific heritage unit. This is the second time UP 1996 has been the leader on this train in the last two and a half months. Here it is passing the NY350 milepost just a few feet west of CP349 in Palmyra NY. The temperature was about 28 and the light snow started about 15 minutes before the train arrived.
