Eastern Railroad Discussion > I got it this time! 27N and other Wednesday Goodies

I spent the weekend at the Amherst Railroad Society Train & Hobby Show in Springfield, MA. Growing up in northeast Ohio - I had still yet to see the Conrail heritage unit where I grew up watching Conrail almost every summer Saturday with my dad. I caught it once in Tyrone, PA leading 67D but never here in Ohio (as we haven't had many opportunities either). Knowing it came by Sunday while I was gone was quite disappointing to me even though I was having a great time with some of my best friends out in New England, so I was hoping I would be able to catch it at some point. Today was my day - bright sunshine and still both heritage units!!! What a duo!

Here's what I was able to get today:

1) 27N coming under the Route 344 bridge between Columbiana, OH and Leetonia, OH - right near the MP 61.0 detector. Right around this bend was where my dad and I would sit watching Conrail back in the mid to late 90's when I was growing up.
2) 27N coming into Rootstown, OH (MP 81 Cleveland Line)
