What is the current pattern of freights on the former B&A, preferably through the Springfield area? Thanks in advance.

In Palmer, east of Springfield, you may see 012 and 022 and sometimes 014, all stack trains, plus 264 which is auto racks for East Brookfield. Most days the Springfield Local, Q740, drops cars in Palmer, switches the yard and goes back to Springfield. All this eastbound traffic is usually in the morning. Afternoon westbound traffic can include 293 which is empty auto racks, Amtrak's Lake Shore and sometimes 427, the down train from Ayer.
Of course, you always have the NECR and MCER working their yards as well.

how many manifest total run on the western end of the B&A? Are there still the Springfield, Framningham, Boston and Guilford exchange? I guess like the old SESP, SEFR, SENE, SEBO trains

I believe there's usually 8 manifest trains west of Springfield.

Q421 West Springfield - Selkirk (runs 2x a week?)
Q422 Selkirk - Worcester (PW)
Q423 Worcester (PW) - Selkirk
Q424 Selkirk - West Springfield
Q425 West Springfield - Selkirk
Q426 Selkirk - Barbers Station (PAR)
Q427 Barbers Station (PAR) - Selkirk
Q436 Selkirk - Framingham
Q437 Framingham - Selkirk
