Eastern Railroad Discussion > New Hope & Ivyland 7087 on SEPTA MainlineDate: 01/31/15 23:01 New Hope & Ivyland 7087 on SEPTA Mainline Author: PennRailVideos Let's take you back to the warm month of August 2013 when we managed to chase the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad's Lansdale Founder's Day train from Ardsley, PA to Grenoble, PA as it operates over SEPTA trackage. General Electric C30-7 #7087 is in charge of the train as we see it at three locations. #7087 was built in 1981 for the Seaboard System, and later went on to become CSX 7087. The 3000-hp engine makes easy work of the 5 vintage passenger cars plus the trailing GP30, #2198, which was built in 1963 for the Pennsylvania Railroad.
