Time to put some perspective on today's event in West Virginia. Here are some terrible accidents in years past that many people aren't aware of or have forgotten with the passage of time. I remember all of them. It's up to the person reading the circumstances involved to determine if one accident is worse than another:

Is the TP&W tank car train explosion in there that wiped out an entire town?

and the D&H wreck near Oneonta in February 1974

"A tank car of propane was punctured and the ensuing
fire impinged other tank cars and caused the violent rupture of three of
them. Fifty-four person were injured by the fire and rocketing parts of
tank cars."

I think that's the one every hazmat class used for years to explain a bleve.
