How do you get the leads on these trains coming your way or are you catching them by chance? They crossed the 65V train over the river at Shocks Mill bridge and he quietly snuck up on me! By the time I heard him and went out on the back deck to see the train the engines were already out of sight. I was talking to a signal maintainer last week about where the new 476 and 477 signals would be located and he said they were NOT going to be replaced but instead will be ELIMINATED as will all other intermediate signals! The crews will get the signal readings in the cab. There will be physical signals at all interlockings so I will still here the trains on the scanner call out the signal indication when they pass by Wago and Shocks Mill but I won't hear any others because the maintainer said the crews will not call out the other signals. I better get my butt in gear and start getting train photos at the signals by my house before they are gone. The sun is still too low in the sky for good photos but I better get them before they are gone! Tom

Most time's I listen to the radio and get any updates from here on Train Orders or Heritage Units, plus my brother in Maryland helps me out also when a train with a heritage unit is supposedly on. I can hear most trains calling signals on the Port Road from Enola down to like Conowingo,MD area with my radio at home hook to the outside antenna. John Miller Conestoga, PA |
