Eastern Railroad Discussion > Foreign Power on Indiana CP TrainsDate: 03/02/15 17:14 Foreign Power on Indiana CP Trains Author: TrainCatcher I have noticed an increase in the foreign power showing up on the CP trains that run through Indiana on the NS and CSX Chicago Lines. Until recently most of these trains would have CP family power (including DME) and blue CEFX/CITX leased units. I am not sure if this is coincidence or change in locomotive assignment/operations. Two examples from today are shown:
Eastbound CSX train Q166-02 (CP 142) with UP 3731 and CP 9635 in St. Joe, Indiana. Eastbound NS train CP 242 at Kendallville, IN with a pair of CN units: 8943 & 5426. Date: 03/03/15 16:48 Re: Foreign Power on Indiana CP Trains Author: bodkin6071 #242's power went thru my area last Friday, on CN train #M335. Wonder how they got handed off to the NS? Probably same reason I see solid NS power on most of the CN trains nowadays.
