Covered Hoppers in Bingo Town
Author: u34ch

I cross over a yard on Route 17 in Bingo Town in New Yourk State every few weeks. I think its CPR. It always has a fleet of covered hoppers. I don't know if they are always the same or there for interchange. Does any one know. Thanks

Road salt, or maybe for Agway (if it's still in business)?

That is the old D&H Bevier Street Yard. CP started a dry bulk transload facility there a few years ago.

Bevier Street yard is used to unload frack sand.

And NYS&W uses Liberty St yard near the Chenango St bridge over the ex-EL tracks to unload frac sand as well.
