Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 098Date: 03/04/15 07:57 NS 098 Author: jeffm238 No visual on this train and no idea what it is hauling, but I heard Harrisburg Terminal tell them to stop at Cove which would be MP 116 on on the Pittsburgh Line. If anyone knows what this train is moving, I'd be interested. I know it often has exports on it. Too bad I missed it this morning in Lewistown.

Unfortunately since the locals out of Reading Yard for the C&F were moved to Allentown a few years ago, this sort of move doesn't happen often at all.

Last 098 I remember seeing pictures of ( on here) believe had a SD70M-2 for power and they just ran that right up the C&F to Coke and switched using that instead of handing off cars to the C&F guys. Thats what i was trying to convey here.

Thanks Mark Date: 03/04/15 21:43 Re: NS 098 Author: NS19K I think these are called shutdown trains. Coke would have to shut down production if the they ran out of syrup. Coke needed these right away so NS ran the special train.

Really put the screws to your customer then charge them extra to not shut them down! Posted from Android |
