Sunday, CSX Trains, and a big lens
Author: agrafton

This past Sunday my wife and I went for a ride and ended up in Willard chasing a train we would not catch but did catch one we hadn’t planned on.
The first train was the K043 with two BNSF leaders that I shot in Cuyahoga Falls on the New Castle Sub at BG124.7 while my wife was getting ready
to go. When I got back and picked her up and headed out the K043 was just far enough ahead of us we just kept missing it all the way to Creston,
Ohio
before calling it off and enjoying the ride. At Creston where we stopped for a refreshment break I caught the K374 empty coke train sitting on track
2
just past the Wheeling connection, as I got out to get a photo he got an OK from the IO and I shot him leaving. From there  it was on to Greenwich to
catch an assortment of trains and have the second part of our chase kick in, the K045 another two leader BNSF ethanol train was closing fast behind
us,
so we waited at Greenwich and caugh a few there as well.
Photos and with additional information marked accordingly;
Alan

Very nice pics Alan.  A small nit pick: pic @1 is west of Creston, passing the interchange track to the W&LE track, visible on left.

I really like numbers 1 & 9.  The EB CP 8523 should be a Q166 (which I saw earlier in the day).

It really helps to have a variety of lens available.

Very nice series Alan. Nice camera angles. Who was using the big lens and is it a new lens? Pictures with that lens are nice a sharp.
