Eastern Railroad Discussion > They Just Gave Me "F" Tower...Update?

It's been a few days now that the new era for Fostoria IP desk has started, any idea how it's going? Farmer...anyone hear anything interesting on the radio like, HELP I'VE FALLEN AND CAN'T GET UP?

With no track work being done on the Willard sub other than routine inspections that prevented a single track bottleneck. April 13 will be the first big test with a 12 hour curfew at Wood Street. My opinion they have been lucky so far but the peak traffic days of the week have not gotten here yet.

Agreed, and I hope the clown responsible for the new Q-L-R-S-X-I symbolling system for trains goes as well.

This system has been there since I first hired on.  I think it's easy to figure out.  The NS on the other hand is not.

The poster is referring to the 28 hour day plan. 

The Locals seems to be taking a harder hit, Dispatch seems to have everything lined up miles away and when the local wants to get a little headroom out and back in, (A move that would take less than a min), they sit for 30-60 mins before they can do a quick move.

That is why they need to man F Tower, the operators knew what was going on in Fostoria.

NS had a roadrailer crew die while waiting on CSX cross traffic after the IP takeover. NS was not very happy.

Good luck doing that! This is just part of the big picture of railroading. This happened (NS waiting) even before the IP desk took control.
