SMW S619 single 53ft well cars
Author: tp117

No SM or SMW cars are in my April 2013 Railroad Equipment Register. (Like many small railroads) On-line search finds photos of two well cars  201357, 201557 which may be 48 foot wells. But the S619 numbers in ohotos span 210250 to 210532 which spans 283 cars if they are all there, but there could be more. I'd like to know the outside length. A few of these are noted as ex-CRLE marks (Coe Rail).  I saw one and ran it on BNSF webside and it was 76'08 ft. I'm doing my own survey on intermodal car lengths, concentrating on 40 foot wells and spine cars capable of 53 foot units, as that is about ll that is left. Cars with 45ft & 48 ft wells are still around but mostly used instead of a 40 ft well car. Thanks for any info.
