Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 1065 on 64E [Thurs]

Any updated information on 64E's location? Heritage Units.com still shows it as being in Johnstown, PA. Thank-you!

The Schlegel boys are headed from eastern PA to the Station Inn for the weekend tomorrow. If we run across it on the way one of us will post an update.

When 1065 (finally) arrives in Linden, it may be sent out and about for a while. Construction at the tremley point switch means that the road power doesn't lay over on many days.  So last week's 8101 made a side trip up to Selkirk NY and back, then picked up its 65E.

The other item of interest on that move was the outbound went north through Port Newark, then west on the Lehigh Line, which is unusual. I'm guessing that was a temporary change due to work on the Port Reading secondary, but anyone looking to follow it west should be aware that a change might happen.

1065 East  by Thompsontown (about 35 miles west of Harrisburg)  just after noon.

It was holding yesterday at AO..just East of Conemaugh PA....Train is reported gone from there now..Dave W

Stopped at Schlossburg Road west of Alburtis. H68 working ahead at Buckeye. 15J and 15T
going west on #1 track from Allentown. It may be awhile.
