Along A Trout Stream & CSX Switching Utica NYS&W Yard

Here are a few pics taken in the last week showing activity on the Utica branch of the NYS&W.

1.The Sauquoit Creek meanders along as NYS&W GP40 3040 & CSX GP 38 2732 rumble by leading a short freight down Paris Hill on the late afternoon on April 21st.

2. Brilliant early morning sunshine illuminates the old DL&W freighthouse as CSX switches the NYS&W Utica yard approx 6:45am, Sunday morning, April 19th.

4) The sun's early-morning rays are perfectly obscured by the CSX engines (Note Adirondack Scenic Railroad engines in background).

5) On the CSX main, about to hitch.
