Newly Painted NS 7220 Through Youngstown Today

Greetings all. Today I got a heads up from Craig (NS62590) that 15K was coming north up the Youngstown Line with NS 7220, one of the ex-CSX SD80MACs, in fresh NS paint leading two CPs and a UP. First caught it down in Lowellville then on the north side of Youngstown at Hubbard Rd. crossing. Enjoy!

#1.  15K passing thru Lowellville with NS 7220 in fresh black paint leading the charge.

#2.  CP ES44ACs 8865 and 8870 trailing the 80MAC leader.

#3.  UP SD90MAC 3736 trailing last of the four.

#4.  Caught up with 15K again as it comes down the straightaway towards the Hubbard Rd. crossing on the north side of Youngstown after passing thru CP Valley less than a mile south of my location. The McGuffey Rd. bridge is in the background.

#5.  7220 leading the charge out of Youngstown towards Ashtabula.

#6.  Going away shot of UP 3736 trailing 7220 and the CP GEVOs through the crossing and the former location of CP 54, which was torn out over a decade ago.

Sorry! Not as sharp as she did rolling past my house brand new in Conrail Dress Blue! Black is so bleak. I just can't get excited. I grew up with black and white TV I guess I'm doomed to watch black and white locos. Arggh! how boring.

i agree with you G ... altho being that the 80MACs are my favorites ... i'll tak'em any which way i can ...-

Yet black remains in the top three of auto colors! :-)
