Mis-matched Stripes

W&LE train 213 today had a colorful assortment of power with striped paint jobs, with ex-BNSF 6989, ex-BCR 6358, and ex-CITX 6350 pullign 83 cars. All three locomotives were purchased by W&LE in the last ten months, among 14 others. Here they are passing by Winter's Spur in Bolivar, Ohio, on 5/21/15.

Not a big fan of mismatched colored power but I was thinking the same thing before I read your post John.

I'll give the W&LE credit, they do an excellent job of patching their units until they can get them painted. I happen to enjoy chasing the wheeling for just this reason. These colorful consists will not last for ever. In my opinion, the W&LE has the best paint scheme on any railroad.

Great pictures!  Does W&LE have any plans on rebuilding/painting the former CITX units, FURX units, or CEFX units?  I saw on another site that they were rebuilt in 2000 by Alstom, so I was thinking that W&LE might not rebuild them.  Thanks!
