Reflections of the RF&P on the Rappahannock River
Author: Railfan94

Since I never posted on here until about 2 months ago, i never got the chance to Upload these photos. If you ever visit the RF&P, one must make a note to shoot the Rappahannock River Bridge here in Fredericksburg. If you can manage to catch it at high tide, you will get quite the treat. On this particular cool November morning, it wasn't looking good for a train to show up at perfect high tide, and then it happened. Q034 showed up just in time to catch the last couple minutes of the mirror still waters! Hope Everyon Enjoys!!!

Oh boy, photo #2 is a winner. Should be a IOTD contender in my opinion.

Now that's about as close to a perfect reflection shot as you can get!  Amazing that river was so still.

Joe, that is taken from the first of the wooden overlooks correct. I really like that prospective vs the dock.

Yes, taken from the first of the 3 new docks. This was just a couple weeks after they opened them in Mid-October after about a 2 month delay in construction.

I don't usually comment on esthetics of photos, but #2 is remarkable.

Joe, if the second does not get you POD thenI am disappointed with the site management. I can just hope to find the river as calm one day.

That is a good shot!
Hey, that bridge looks like Key bridge.
You know Roslyn VA to Georgetown.
Same concrete structure: broad arches with vertical supports.
Wonder if its the same architect?

Wow, mirror still it sure is.  Don't think I have ever seen any river/lake/puddle as calm as that is.   Very nice photos.

Wow, that is so cool.  The water is so amazingly still you really have to study where the water level is, thank goodnes for the arches.
