Eastern Railroad Discussion > Both UP Torch Units 3 1/2 Years Apart On The NS

  Today's NS212 had the UP 2001 Olympic Torch Relay unit trailing in consist.  I went into my digital files and brought up, the Union Pacific 2002 Salt Lake City Unit shot in trailing position on NS212.  I guess you really don't do this to often, capture the only 2 units of there kind in existence on the same train, same location and in the same position in the locomotive consist!

1.  Here is NS212 with the UP 2002 west of Alburtis, Pa on 12-11-11.
2. Taken just hours ago, UP 2001 on the NS212 at Alburtis, Pa 5-24-15

Nice images! Hopefully UP 2001 will lead 211 on Tuesday.

That sounds pretty plausible. If they wanted to send it to Chicago, they would have to put an NS leader on the front.

Nice catch and photos.  Best way to catch a trail unit is a side view.
