Eastern Railroad Discussion > 2 Heritage, Ex Conrail SD60 and more; Harrisburg, PA; 7-3-15Date: 07/04/15 10:59 2 Heritage, Ex Conrail SD60 and more; Harrisburg, PA; 7-3-15 Author: Railfan94 Headed to the Harrisburg area for a day trip yesterday, and ended the day as one rather happy railfan! Had an amazing 7 hour stay up there, shooting 2 Heritage Units, a BC Rail Cowl Unit, the Reading Diner set for restoration, and an amazing empty coal train, NS 615 with an Ex Conrail SD60 Standard Cab on point! So, here goes:
#1: Coming of the Port Road, this train sat the entire day waiting to come into the yard with an Ex Conrail Trio, SD40-2 and 2 Ex CSX Exx Conrail SD80MAC's. #2: An SD60I, GP59, and SD9043MAC are lined up in Enola Yard #3: After checking out the yard, we headed west. First location is PITL 116, 'Cove', where 93M heads east under charge of 2 GP38-2's, the leader with a monster P5 equipped for NEC running. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/04/15 11:10 by Railfan94. #5: An SD60M heads west leading train 11J. #5: NS 23M prepares to meet empty slab train 61N at the 116. Date: 07/04/15 11:04 Re: An Amazing day around Harrisburg, PA; July 3, 2015 Author: Railfan94 #7: Not often do i post Rolling Stock, but a Reading Gondola is totally worth a post!
#8: 66Z, the first Money train of the day heads across the bridge at Cannon with the Wabash on point. #9: The second Money Train, 66W heads east with the Conrail in Trail. Date: 07/04/15 11:06 Re: An Amazing day around Harrisburg, PA; July 3, 2015 Author: Railfan94 #10: Not the greatest head shots of 66Z here, but the tanks are seen stretched across the Rockville
#11: And 66W following soon there after across the bridge. #12: 64T heads east pastDuncannon with a SD70 on point, and a BCOL unit in the #2 spot. Date: 07/04/15 11:10 Re: An Amazing day around Harrisburg, PA; July 3, 2015 Author: Railfan94 #13: Likely the most amazing train of the day, NS615 heads west under command of a pair of SD60 variants, leader being Standard Cab, and both of Conrail Heritage!
#14: Last train we shot was an unknown manifest cutting away the head end power with an SD40-2 and BC Rail Cowl unit! #15: This Ex Reading Diner came in on H19 today and is seen sitting in the east end of Enola Yard. Hope Everyone Enjoys!!!! Date: 07/05/15 05:15 Re: An Amazing day around Harrisburg, PA; July 3, 2015 Author: ns1000 GOOD stuff...!! Thanks for sharing.
