I had a chance to photograph the first trip of Visco 0-4-0T #6 made at the Kutztown, Pa Bicentennial event this past Saturday. The little loco put on a good show.
First taking on water at the former Reading Company Kutztown Station MP 4 from the NS connection at Topton
Second passing a Ford from the era number six was built (1924 build date)
Last photo working hard to keep her four cat train on time leaving Kutztown
Enjoy the photos Jim and Dan and a thank you for helping to make this happen

super pictures and neat video. Beertrain had a hugh part of making this happen. He is on the Kutztown Bicentennial committee. His assignment was to get railroad excursions for the celebration.
When the planning started 5 years ago he contacted East Penn and they were not interested in making it happen. Then East Penn left the line and the new operators, The Allentown & Auburn were happy to make something happen. So Andy Schlegel (Beertrain) and Mike Bast of the Allentown &Auburn and all of the volunteers of the line made it happen . Thank you to all of you.

By the way that whistle was off of a Reading Steam engine. The famous" READING HOOTER" Next weekend it will have a 6 chime passenger whistle.

I recognized the whistle as I grew up with that in the late 1940's. Glad I got it on video.
