Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX AC4400CW'sDate: 08/02/15 06:53 CSX AC4400CW's Author: PrairieRailfan I am trying to sort out the current power status of the CSX AC6000CW's. Digging around on the web I have read variously that, 1) their 6,000 hp prime movers were switched out with 4,600 hp replacements, 2) they were simply derated to 4,600 hp, and 3) they were derated to 4,600 hp but have been rerated to 6,000 hp again. Anyone have the straight dope on this?

The 603-699 and 5000-5016 have had various units upgraded to AH status with software upgrades
