Eastern Railroad Discussion > A Bustling Place: Rome NY & A Railfan's Best BudDate: 09/28/15 19:19 A Bustling Place: Rome NY & A Railfan's Best Bud Author: ut-1 Just by chance, I came upon BNSF run-through power & its train of oil cars waiting at the Rome, NY Amtrak station on CSX this afternoon. They were being held for a late Amtrak 281 and another westbound, S16129.
This video features 281 entering the station, S16129 blasting by few a few minutes later and K14026 resuming its easterly journey shortly afterwards. A railfan's best friend? Watch the video!!
