HLCX, Sticker Unit, and more; October 4-5, 2015
Author: Railfan94

Had a couple of decent catches in Virginia the past couple of days, to include a "tophat" leading an NS coal train, a pair of ET44AC's on an Intermodal, and one of CSX's Sticker units on it's maiden voyage out of Waycross, CSX #366, "Chessie System".
First up is NS 820, loaded coal train seen passing by Collier Yard in Petersburg, VA with a D9-40C on point.
Second up is a match set of ET44AC's on Q031, #3302 and #3280 on 10-4.
Next, on 10-5, we see an AC4400 pair on Q140 in the SUN! Something not seen for nearly 10 days in Virginia.

Now, just this afternoon, we see Q410-03 heading north, with HLCX SD40-2 #7187 in the #2 spot...
And CSX #366 in the #3 spot. Sporting a fresh paint job, and a Chessie System Sticker, this makes (I think) 5 Units now with stickers.

And a couple more from this evening; VRE train P303 making his way to the last station stop, Fredericksburg, and P125 about to stop as well.
Last one is a VERY late L036-04 running nearly 12 hours late with a YN2 AC6000CW on point.

Nice photos. Kinda nice to see the Chessie Cat and Pillow back in the generation.

Just think, after CSX gets all of the sticker units done they can gather them someplace like Cumberland or Waycross and have a "Sticker unit" railfan weekend, Im sure it would probably compare to what the NS did with the heritage units. Probably will be the hottest ticket out there.

That is too funny. Maybe Topps will do a commerative bubble gum pack with all the stickers in each pack of gum for the event.

If this is CSX's plan for heritage units,  how sad.  Typical "T" do it cheap and tacky.

It would be nice to see the Chessie Cat on the nose instead of the decal on the side.

Why does the "sticker unit" have two builder "plates?"
