Eastern Railroad Discussion > Roads and railroads not the only thing washed outDate: 10/06/15 15:56 Roads and railroads not the only thing washed out Author: retcsxcfm The 50th meeting of WGRF (World's Greatest Railfans,in name only) was held in Birmingham,Al.
over the weekend. With total cloud cover, misting rain and wind the weather was not kind to our picture taking.Nevertheless,I have posted a few we shot any way. Our goal is to preserve railroad history through photography. We are able to axcess locomotives in locations, that normally are off limits. These are places where the guard would keep you out. I attended WGRF in 1979 on Labor Day weekend at Pittsburgh PA. Go through Calera AL several times a year to visit daughter and family in Pensacola, FL area. Finally, I made a photo of #1338 ex RI EMD GP18 at the Tradewater Railway TWRY in Sullivan KY on 3/13/1988. It looked better then.
