My buddy said he worked for the railroad. I had to find out.
Author: wa4umr

I chased my buddy out of town today.  He kept telling me he actually worked on the railroad but I didn't believe it.  I had to see for myself.

 1.  He's supposed to be there on the left but he's hiding in the shadows.  This was taken at Coral Ridge, MP 12.24 at the crossing.
 2.  Then I drove south to Solite.  This is the location of a large derailment about 6 years ago.  It's about a mile from Brooks, Ky.

More to follow.

4.  There he is.  He's coupled up to the rest of the train and waiting for the trainline to charge.
5.  Back on the main and ready to head out.  I'm at MP30.0

6.  Smiling like a pig in slop.
7.  The last I saw of him he was heading south to Bowling Green, Ky.

Nothing really special here but I just though I'd share a few.  The Coal tipple is not an everyday sight.  Hope you have enjoyed these a tiny bit.  In the process, I found out that he really does do something to earn his keep.

Nice work. Thank you for sharing your day. So you found out first hand that your buddy indeed works for the railroad.

I got some but I wasn't satisfied with the exposure.  That headlight sort of messed it up.  I'll try to take my hand held light meter and set the exposure for some better pictures instead of using the built in and the automatic exposure.  BTW, external lightmeters work great for snow pictures also.
