The car seems to have an interesting history, however, it doesn't say WHY is was named in this fashion.

If the question is referring to a car being operated at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, it is NOT a genuine B&O passenger car.  I have explained this problem on here many times.  The B&O Railroad Museum is being mis-managed.  The current people running the museum have taken a group of ex-MARC Commuter Cars that were originally Pennsylvania R.R. Passenger cars and painted them in B&O colors and given them all kinds of fictitious names and they operate them fooling the general public into believing that this is the way B&O passenger service used to be.  Meanwhile the genuine retired B&O passenger cars are sitting in the front yard of the museum being allowed to rust away and the management at the museum does NOT care.  B&O historians that I know and respect are extremely displeased with the museum management.  There are folks who have donated money towards the restoration of the real B&O passenger cars and yet they are being allowed to collect rust.  If you do not believe me; go to the museum and when you park your auto, walk around and just see how horrible all of the passenger cars of the B&O and the C&O look right now.  Also look at the American Freedom Train steam engine (ex-Reading 2101) also looks collecting rust.  The B&O R.R. Museum management does NOT care folks.  I rest my case.

I see. No wonder I could not find any pics of these cars on George Elwood's site.

Consternation aside, these cars are very beautiful. But a museum is a museum, so it would be nice to see authentic cars, not stand-ins.

You are absolutely correct NYC6001, and especially since I am sure that many B&O fans would contribute money towards a real restoration.  They could start by restoring the famous B&O Club Car #3302 "Edward G. Hooper."  This car was saved in 1969 by the Baltimore Chapter of the NRHS and through the years between that time and when it was donated to the B&O Museum, it ran in so many excursion trains, as an extra Office Car for the Chessie System, it was the rear observation car on the Chessie Steam Safety Express trains of 1980 & 81, all kinds of dignitaries and politicians rode in it and when it was donated to the museum, it was in need of some repairs in 1994, painting of the exterior once again and some other odds and ends.  Since the car already had electric heat, it could be a car that could be operated with the museum's train in the winter along with the other non-B&O cars that they are currently running.  But alas, what else can I tell you except the folks in charge don't know and DON'T CARE about the real history for sure.

Drucker is a German word that translates to "printer" in English.

That's anybody's guess.  There was a Ronald Drucker who was a Vice President of the Chessie System back in the 1970's but I never heard anyone refer to him as Blue.  As I said before, the management of the B&O R.R. Museum make up fictitious names on these ex-Pennsylvania R.R. cars and they like to pretend that they are B&O cars.

Well Sir, I was just trying to point the original poster in the right direction for information.  Me personally, I really could care less if the car is or isn't an original B&O car.  You need to focus your frustrations in another direction and not towards the general public that is trying to help answer a question.  If you feel so strongly about the way the museum is being managed, maybe you should stage a protest about the way it is being run, or better yet, buy the museum and manage it yourself.  Sorry, not sorry.
