Eastern Railroad Discussion > Sunset on the Gainesville MidlandDate: 02/05/16 09:26 Sunset on the Gainesville Midland Author: NSTopHat Late yesterday afternoon while waiting for my daugther to finish dance recital practice, I ran over the CSX's Gainseville Midland Sub in Gainesville, GA. I had noticed that on Wednesday there was a grain train that had arrived on the GmM and was unloading at Pilgrim's Pride between Bradford & Chestnut Streets. Yesterday, they were collecting the empties to return to Atlanta and then to points in the midwest for reloading. I caught the last two cuts being tacked to the train.

Ridge Road. The train will wait for the conductor to get taxied to the front end before heading towards Pendergrass, Athens, Atlanta and points beyond. Image #3 - CSX #548 sporting a new coat of paint and the company's new boxcar logo. Regards, Russ Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/05/16 09:27 by NSTopHat. |
