I thought CP was dropping the proxy fight, per Bloomberg news yesterday.   Which is it?

CP is dropping the proxy fight; obviously they know they lack the votes to win.
Instead CP plans to offer a measure at the NS annual meeting (held in May) directing NS management to negotiate a merger with them.  CP probably can't get the votes for approval since they lack the votes to win a proxy fight.  So, CP is just taking this long shot and keeping its fingers crossed since it does not cost them anything to do so.
