Circus Train Proceeds North From Binghamton
Author: melalbert

This video captures the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus Train (sans animals) creeping out of Binghamton’s Bevier Street Yard at Phelps Street in Port Dickinson and upgrade on the old D&H route over Belden Hill and north around 6:30 P.M. Monday. This abbreviated version does not include all 63 cars and I cannot account for the stuttering in the circus wagon segment which is not in the original video. Discussion elsewhere has indicated that the train was without animals with the elephants having been retired and remaining performers trucked to the next destination in New Hampshire.

Cool video!  The show still has all their animal acts EXCEPT the elephants now.  There's a rumor alfloat in the entertainment industry that the Walt Disney Co. is seeking to aquire Feld Entertainment (including RBBB Circus), but won't until EVERY animal act is gone, as they won't take on any company that has PETA at its heels....

Yes, Rhett – have been posting this same item for the past few months from the advanced rumor mill.
Internet articles have also indicated the possibility of future negations associated with this adventure.
We still are trying to keep what is left of the performing animal acts intact.
Enough said for now.  Nice being with you for a brief visit once again at Wilkes-Barre PA.
All for now.  bcd9   ∑:=)

Interesting dichotomy about the general animal welfare concerns, and yet Disney is apparently doing quite well with Animal Kingdom.  If PETA has had them (WDW) in their sights over AK, it has been very low key.  I have no doubt that WDW treats the animals properly (otherwise the resulting $$$ from visitors could suffer); but I would also expect that if PETA had their way, AK would not even be operating.
