At South Wilkes - Barre, love that AP cabin car, and I say cabin car in honor of the PRR which most of this trackage is the former PRR Wilkes - Barre Branch aka Buttonwood Branch.

Market St. WB which runs behind the former Jersey Central Depot on Wilkes - Barre Blvd. This used to be a RR motel at one time.

At Butler St. WB. the lead engine LS 50 is cut off into the clear, as LS 1201 shoves the load the rest of the way to Hudson, PA.
This AP vessel is a big one!

Crossing Wilkes - Barre Blvd a main road through WB, this used to be part of the Jersey Central Line through Wilkes - Barre.

MP 686 The NS D&H Line where this train will be picked up tomorrow by the NS local K81.
As luck would have it K81 came breezing through as the LS crew tied down the train.

Better than excellent as usual, Ed. I could see Air Products from the back porch of my home in Lyndwood when I lived there.

Ed, that last picture of you, I'm thinking you could become the next "Most Interesting man"! Looking for some work doing Beer commercials?

Great chase and nice shots.

Thanks for the great narrative.

Once the K81 local picks it up, what happens next?  Will this eventually head down the Lehigh Line into NJ?

I never realized there was so much "local" branch track to maneuver before interchanging with the 'big' guy.  With all the shots we've seen of AP vessels, this is the first time we were taken behind the 'scene'.  (Not so sure your cowboy hat is appropriate for you and your northeast roots - my personal opinion. Wear whatever pleases you)  Also didn't know there was so much junk left at the old W-B train motel site.

Real good stuff following this move Ed.  I'll be out of the state over this weekend, so I won't catch this move on the Lehigh Line.
