Eastern Railroad Discussion > Mid train DPUDate: 05/28/16 11:52 Mid train DPU Author: approachmedium Last Saturday I noticed a long NS train going into Guest St yard with midbrain helpers, an SD 80 and
SD 60M. Is this a common occurrence for NS. I don't know the train number but if anyone knows whether this is a common occurrence or if the is a specific train number that commonly has mid train helpers when going into Guest St. could you please let me know. Thank you in advance. Date: 05/28/16 12:13 Re: Mid train DPU Author: florida581 If the train was southbound, it may have been 169. I believe 169 (out of Conway) combines with 179 (out of Bellevue) in Columbus. The train usually has mid train DPUs by the time it reaches Birmingham.

Probably a case of the spell checker "fixing" it or his fingers thought they were smarter than the brain. Trainorders' spell checker doesn't like "Gest." Happens to me all the time.
