Strasburg Railroad Maine Eastern Charter Train
Author: RDG630

The Baltimore Chapter NRHS sponsored a photo frieght on the Strasburg Rail Road Saturday May 28th. The railroad is leasing Maine Eastern GP9 #764 while their EMD switcher is in the shop. Good trip with lots of sun.

All nice photos; this is a great short line, very scenic and I recommend that everyone come to Strasburg, near Lancaster, Pennsylvania and take a ride.  They have great steam engines pulling authentic period passenger cars over a well maintained railroad.

I was down there about a month ago.....visited the RR Museum of PA, took a ride on the Strasburg RR and then spent the night lodging in a caboose at The Red Caboose Motel....Dave W

A nice series of photos. Nice shot of the spreader crossing the tracks.
