In possibly related news, the US rig count (actively pumping wells) is up for the first time in a year. There's a fear that the higher crude prices are getting the exploration people to finish wells that were nearly done, but abandoned a year ago. There's a whole discussion right now about whether the glut in US crude (too much crude) has moved down the chain and become a glut in refinery products like gasoline. |
