From the archives, Cassandra overlook August 2008
Author: tehachapi-dave

Hard to believe my dad (Tehachapi-Dave) shot this 8 years ago, when I was mearly seven years old!  A while back I was able to process this video and put it into digital form, so this is just the beginning!  Enjoy some action of eastbounds climbing their way up the west slope towards the summit.

Great video Dave/TJ!  I know the crews give the SD40E units high marks, but to me, there was nothing like SD40-2 helpers on the West Slope.  Thanks for the memories.

Bob

Thank you for the kind comments I'm currently sitting at Dolton, IL watch a UP go around the wye to the south.  Only 6 trains in 1:45 minutes so a little slow tonight but first tonight was IP Passenger heading to Indy

Bob, Ya missed the Big ALCO Centuries and 6 axle GE's on the slope. Those were by far, some of the best. But then that was years ago.  Ben
