New York, Susquehanna and Western Video
Author: melalbert

A New York, Susquehanna and Western train with a load of ballast cars is making its way just west of Red Rock curve on Wednesday, August 17th, 2016, heading west to Great Bend in support of track work being done between there and Susquehanna, Pa. The bucolic countryside of this rural area of northeastern Pennsylvania speaks for itself.

Nice catch getting something in daylight is rare.  The first bunch of gons look like contaminated dirt gons, wonder if they borrwed a few to haul ties.

We think the gondolas up front had delivered ties to the track project. The train was heading back to Binghamton perhaps to reload.

Maintenance: East of Binghamton, NYS&W to Port Jervis, then MetroNorth to NY/NJ border, then NJ Transit
