Eastern Railroad Discussion > Patience Pays OffDate: 08/24/16 18:26 Patience Pays Off Author: RDG630 Ever since a recently constructed shopping center was built in Birdsboro, Pa I have been wanting to get the new photo angle it offers of the Haines & Kibblehouse stone trains coming from the quarry to the NS connection. This is the same line, the Wilmington & Northern Branch of the former Reading Company, where I photographed RS3's and GP40-2's on Joanna ore trains in the early 1970's. The two SD38's were originally DT&I locomotives. Number 2002 has a face painred on the low hood. The F.M. Browns & Sons feed mill makes an excellent photo prop. While it is only about a three mile segment of the W&N it is still good to see trains on the north end of the branch.
