Nice coverage!  Good to see the old GP60Ms being rebuilt tp GP60M-3s!  Do you know if they have a dedicated shop switcher? Wonder where the old SD75Ms will end up?

In image 4, is that really a pulpwood car with a forest starting to grow on the deck?  Reminded me of this NOKL covered hopper in Grant NE with a cornfield growing on top of it.

Can anybody see what the number is of that super clean CSX YN3b repaint unit ahead of the two ATSF warbonnet units?   If only the drone could have been a few feet further when that one picture was taken.

Great Stuff. It's nice to see the 60Ms upgraded but those were the last group of engines with nice Santa Fe paint. I remember those were repainted a few years after they were delivered because they faded so badly. Whatever EMD did they held up the best as compared to the GEs and SD70Ms. Although i see the taggers hit a few of them.

1609 and 1610 both went. They left testing on the CSX shortline for some type or repair. The PAL took them to the shops. There's another thread with more info posted a week or so ago.

Has Progress Rail taken over the GP60M-3 project from Motive Power? I know that MPI has slowed production lately, but I had no idea Progress Rail was rebuilding these GP60Ms.

The pair of units in UP colors are indeed the EMDX SD70ACe-T4 demos #1609 and 1610. They were sent there for work after spending about a month on CSX.

Progress Rail has indeed taken over the BNSF GP60M-3 program.

What will happen to those SD75Ms? I don't know why CSX and KCS SD70MACs are there.

the former ATSF/BNSF SD75M's are part of a group of 40 picked up by Progress Rail. Believe they are for a lease fleet that they are putting together.

the CSX SD70MAC's are there for gear train work and a few other minor things. Part of an ongoing program that has been going on for some time now. Judging by how few are visible on the property it looks like they are about to wrap things up.

Pretty sure the KCS SD70MAC's are also recieving gear train work and also being overhauled as well.
