Eastern Railroad Discussion > Pan Am POED arrives at E DeefieldDate: 08/28/16 06:28 Pan Am POED arrives at E Deefield Author: JPB On Saturday, 8/27/16, the N&W Heritage locomotive was headed east on Mechanicville pulling the 28N autorack train. So I headed to Gardner, the train's likely initial yarding stop to drop Subarus for P&W. Upon arriving Gardner, the foamerazzis said 28N was parked for re-crew at Buckland, MA, some 55 miles west. We all raced off to the E Deerfield Yard, hoping to catch 28N passing the yard. But 28N was still tied down. Fortunately POED was kind enough to arrive and yard its train.
