Horseshoe Curve question
Author: 2839Canadian

With the back side of the Curve no longer off-limits, how is the best way to get back there?  Where do you park?

What time of the day is the best lighting?

Thanks in advance

No longer off-limits? When did that happen, the many pictures & videos not withstanding? NS police told me last fall that the railroad owns 300' out from the middle of the guage of the outside track [track #3].

This has been discussed on here before, to the point that someone from NS Corporate Communications stated that the back side is NS property and is off limits.

I doubt that their stance has changed since then

Isn't the area on the western outside of the curve Pennsylvania Game Commission land, and accessible from the parking area on the west side of the tunnel? It appears to be signed that way, or was a few years ago.  It was originally Glen White Coal Company land, I think.

(Of course, hunting season is coming up, so caution and discretion is advised.  Wouldn't want to be mistaken for a white tailed deer)
